The echoes of my JROTC instructor, Sgt.Brown, ring through my ears as he hits the table one more time trying to wake us up at 8am. Everyone attempts to look alive, but it's pointless, we're second semester seniors, and as always, someone's late and he screams, screams words that sounded like a broken record, "In this world you have to be responsible for your own actions!" I gave it thought, but what he was saying had more potential than I gave it. As us, millennials, take up the mantle of leaders and do amazing things that will make our generation known, we also have to take all the failures and acknowledge them. Anyone can gloat about their power, success, and fame; however, a true leader admits to their failures and flaws, knowing that at the end of the day it all falls on them, without any excuses. I can't deny that the man was right, like always.
