While I look forward to all the technological advancements that this year will bring to media industry, I am also as interested in the tools of the past; both of which share the goal of aiding a story. I acquired this Pentax Me from my friend @spectated, after I got curious hearing @eqohz talk about it for so long. I’ve been shooting for about a month now. Shooting film has been different, with little to no aid from the camera, often I would miss my exposures ( 20/24 exposures), the pictures would be slightly out of focus, and apparently these things take batteries, basically dinosaur eggs; I haven’t had to use batteries since the Gameboy. I've learned to be more aware through this camera, since I have to manually focus on all subjects, along with rewinding it (you don’t know how many times i’ve had a good shot, but forgot to rewind), and making sure that I don’t waste precious film. I see how easy I have it when it comes to digital, just having to load in a battery and SD card, with burst mode; yet, I know that if I can master this camera, I will be a better digital photographer! I just sent me second roll of film to be developed, using actual Kodak Gold, which is the base for a majority of my photos using the the VSCO presets( and the preset I never stop raving about); however, this time I’m more stocked to see how it looks without it being mimicked, along with improvements. Keeping shooting, stay stocked, and positive my friends !
